“Ye Have Broken the Hearts of Your Tender Wives”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

The foundation of a happy marriage and a celestial family unit is built upon love, fidelity, and trust. Nothing shatters hope and destroys feelings of warmth and self-worth in members of a family like sexual infidelity on the part of a mother or father. Sorrow and mourning and blasted dreams follow in the wake of this insidious practice, this blatant form of betrayal and selfishness. It is a heinous crime against humanity, a sin which will be sorely punished by a just God, whose heart is tender toward his offended ones.
