“I Come Up into the Temple This Day”

Text:Jacob already introduced this sermon in the previous chapter (Jacob 1:17), explaining that he gave it “in the temple,” by which he probably meant the temple precinct rather than the temple proper. Why does Jacob add a second introduction here? I posit that Jacob has created a new entry on the plates, separating it with a chapter break from his introduction. He therefore gives us a minimum introduction to create the context for this particular entry.
