“We Did Magnify Our Office Unto the Lord”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
In magnifying a calling one focuses his full attention upon it, labors intently in it, performs with diligence the services associated with it. Holders of the Melchizedek Priesthood, for example, are under covenant to magnify their offices and callings in the priesthood, strictly speaking, one does not magnify the priesthood, does not enlarge upon God’s almighty power. Those who magnify their callings are sanctified by the Spirit, even to the renewing of their bodies. (D&C 84:33, 109-110.)
