He urges the people to carefully consider the words he has written because they were dictated to him by Jesus Christ. He therefore urges them to believe in Christ and believe in the words he has written even in his weakness. He prays that if not all can be saved at least many will take his words to hear and embrace the salvation which Christ has provided for them.
