“Ye Must Not Perform Any Thing… Save in the First Place Ye Shall Pray”
Though we counsel with the Lord in all things, we need not be commanded in all things (see D&C 58:26). The principles in holy writ need not be revealed anew to gratify those seeking some kind of a heavenly manifestation. Yet in all things we are entitled to the confirmation of the Spirit. (See Mormon 9:25.)
