Nephi now closes with a strong admonition. He says the members of the Church must pray more. They need to seek knowledge from the Lord. They need to seek his guidance in everything they do. Furthermore when a member of the Church is given an assignment he or she should first go to the Lord and consecrate the performance of that assignment to the Lord. I can personally testify that this instruction has its own rich reward. Never undertake to serve God in any capacity without first asking for his blessing.
