Three manifestations of the gift of “speaking in tongues” are evident in God’s dealings with his children: (1) speaking the pure Adamic language (Moses 6:6, 46; Orson Pratt, JD 3:99-103; HC 1:297n); (2) speaking a foreign but known tongue (Acts 2:2, 4-6); and (3) speaking by the power of the Holy Ghost.
