Nephi concludes his sermon by indicating that “this” (meaning repentance, baptism, and persistence in faith) is the only way to reach the desired “end.” He seals his discourse with his testimony, invoking the name of God and specifying that it consists of three individuals. Naming the three at this point is probably a contribution of Joseph Smith’s vocabulary.
