When the Lord comes again, he will send his angels throughout the earth to create this great division among the people. This is the time of the gathering of the wheat and the tares. It is the hour of reckoning for the ten virgins. It is the day of the Lord's indignation, for this was the day of vengeance which was in my heart (DC 133:51).
'the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.' (Matt 13:39-42)
'And until that hour there will be foolish virgins among the wise; and at that hour cometh an entire separation of the righteous and the wicked; and in that day will I send mine angels to pluck out the wicked and cast them into unquenchable fire.' (DC 63:54)
