The Three Scriptural Witnesses

Daniel H. Ludlow

"In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." (2 Corinthians 13:1.) The Bible, which contains the preceding statement, is one of the scriptural witnesses in which the word of God is established. But where are the second or the third witnesses? Latter-day Saints believe that the Book of Mormon is a second witness for the gospel of Jesus Christ; and in 2 Nephi 29:11-14 the Lord mentions a third scriptural witness that is yet to come forth: the record of the lost tribes of Israel. Thus the great "triple combination" of the last days will evidently consist of three great scriptural witnesses that testify of each other and will also witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ and his gospel.
