“That Day That They Are Fully Ripe in Iniquity”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

The breach between Zion and Babylon will widen as we approach the time of the second coming of the Son of Man. As more and more of the meek among men so live as to rise to celestial heights, even so the wicked will sink ever deeper into the depths of depravity and despair.

When the Lord Jesus returns in glory he will find a society of the pure in heart, a people whose righteousness is known and evident. He will also find a mass of humanity whose abominations exceed those of Sodom and Gomorrah; they will be “ripe in iniquity,” ready to be plucked up from the land of the living and removed from the paradisiacal earth.
