The devil hates the Book of Mormon because it exposes his tactics. The truth is laid out in plainness. The Lord rebukes the learned and wise (in their own eyes), the proud, the promoters of false doctrines or sexual perversions, and those who in any way distort the “right way of the Lord.” He forewarns them that they are headed to hell.
President Joseph F. Smith also warned of three great dangers that face the modern Church of Jesus Christ and threaten it from within: (1) flattery of prominent people in the world, (2) false educational ideas, and (3) sexual impurity. 85 Welcome to the twenty-first century! The Book of Mormon truly is for our day.
