This prophecy very certainly foretells the participation of two people. The first is certainly Joseph Smith, to whom the entire book is given. Through Joseph Smith, the words of the book "which are the words of those who have slumbered in the dust" will be given to the world.
Very specifically, however, these words from the first man, Joseph, are to be given to another man. There is no question that tradition places professor Anthon in the role of this second man.
