“The Prophets and the Law”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

To Nephi, as to the Apostle Paul, Christ is all in all. (Col. 3:11) Whosoever denies Christ, denies also the Prophets and the Law. That is, the entire Scriptures. For anciently the Hebrews classed Joshua, Judges and Ruth, Samuel 1 and 2, Kings 1 and 2, Chronicles 1 and 2, Daniel, Ezra and Nehemiah, Esther and Job among the Prophets. Nephi was acquainted with some of these books, the socalled Nebiim Reshonim, as well as with the Law, the Torah. He, therefore, refers to the Scriptures as "The Prophets and the Law."
