With the full energy of his soul, Nephi proclaims the central motivation for his actions and those of his followers: to bless the lives of their children through the truth and power of the word of God. With overwhelming desire, they want their children to look to Christ in all things, to understand that Christ is the Author of our salvation and exaltation (see Hebrews 5:8–9). We too are to teach these truths to the coming generations.
