“Alive in Christ Because of Our Faith”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
If I build again, Paul wrote, “the things which I destroyed [that is, if I seek to restore that which is passed away, to give place for that which has been fulfilled], I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” (Galatians 2:18-20; cf. Romans 7:4-6.)

“We Are Made Alive in Christ Because of Our Faith”

Adam was taught by an angel that he and his posterity wee to do all that they did in the name of the Son, and hat they were to repent and call upon God in the name of the Son forevermore (Moses 5:8.)

Moroni pleaded:

"See that ye are not baptized unworthily; see that ye partake not of the sacrament of Christ unworthily; but see that ye do all things in worthiness, and do it in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God; and if ye do this, and endure to the end, ye will in nowise be cast out" (Mormon 9:29)

Jesus Christ in the author and finisher of our faith, the way to the Father. Salvation is in him and through his holy name and in none other way. It is only through rejoicing in Christ, preaching of Christ, and prophesying of Christ that the Saints in any age are able to center their hopes in him who is eternal and thereby eventually lay hold on the promise of eternal life.
