“According to the Words of the Prophets”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy, and any man or woman who is a possessor of such a witness is a prophet (see Revelation 19:10; Teachings, pp. 119, 160). Indeed, since the declaration of the reality and power of the Savior is the preeminent message of God’s chosen servants from the day of Adam forward, “none of the prophets have written, nor prophesied, save they have spoken concerning this Christ” (Jacob 7:11; cf. Mosiah 13:33).
