Nothing great remains by which the royal family of Babylon can be remembered. All of the royal family have been scattered and dishonored. Their former inheritance has been totally decimated and nothing but bittern, a heron-like wading bird, will wander among the stagnant pools of water left over from the Euphrates river that ran through the city.
