“Precious Than Fine Gold”

K. Douglas Bassett

(Isa. 13:12)

To survive in a day of such universal destruction will indeed make the life of any person who survives more precious than fine gold. The gold of Ophir was so fine that Solomon had his merchant ships import it to Israel. Ophir is believed to have been in southern Arabia, but some scholars think it might have been in India or Africa.
