“Upon the Shoulders of the Philistines Towards the West”

Denver C. Snuffer, Jr.

These images make clear the Islamic block's resentment of Israel will avail them nothing. In the end, their hatred will only result in their own "spoil." One of the great historic ironies is that these eastern, Arab descendants of "Edom and Moab" and "Ammon" are in fact saturated with Israelite bloodlines. The Ten Tribes and Jews were taken in exile to Assyria and Babylon, respectively. Only a "remnant" returned to Palestine each time. The remaining Israelite blood stayed in these locations, intermarried, and their descendants are there today. It is an odd juxtaposition of blood, prophecy, destiny, and opposing faiths. It will all unfold in the Lord's intended way, and ultimately result in the vindication and reconciliation of these disbursed bloodlines and brothers. Even the "Philistine" (occupants of Gaza, or modern Palestinians) will become their brothers again. By converting to the only true God, the God of Israel, the God of the whole earth, they will at last find peace among brothers. They remain brothers, despite their current ignorance of that brotherhood. Their destiny will be worked out, and include the reconciliation of a warring family.
