Recover the Remnant; Set Up an Ensign for the Nations

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

To Isaiah, as to Nephi and all of the Lord’s chosen prophets, the vision of the Lord’s ultimate design for His people is made manifest. The final gathering proceeds under the aegis of a mighty ensign raised in the latter days to invite all to come unto Christ. This ensign is the banner of the gospel of Jesus Christ, with all of its saving and exalting principles, doctrines, ordinances, and programs.

How do these matters apply to us today? We are part of the ensign—the Church, the kingdom, the stakes of Zion, the temples of the Almighty, the homes of the families of God. It is our duty to spread the gospel to the peoples of the earth, to raise our families in the spirit of love and righteousness, and to accomplish the sacred work of the temples (see D&C 138:53–47; Jacob 5:70–77).
