The eleventh chapter of Isaiah (which is quoted in 2 Nephi 21) is evidently one of the most important chapters in all scripture. Not only does Jacob quote it here from the brass plates of Laban, but on September 21, 1823, the resurrected angel Moroni quoted this chapter to Joseph Smith and said it was about to be fulfilled. Also, a section of the Doctrine and Covenants (section 113) is devoted primarily to an explanation of this chapter.
