The message is clear: Those who depend upon the Lord and keep His commandments need not fear worldly influences and oppression, for the people of Zion shall be delivered by the hand of God and be gathered once again in safety. The Lord may use earthly powers to further His designs, but men need not boast of their own strength, for the Lord is in charge and will fight the battles of Zion.
