“Unto Wizards That Peep and Mutter -- Should Not a People Seek Unto Their God for the Living to Hear from the Dead?”

Now Isaiah says a word on his own behalf. He says he and his children are given to the people as signs and prophetic utterances to guide them in the pathway of the Lord. But they keep wandering away seeking familiar spirits, wizards and false prophets. Even among God's chosen people those who embrace the spirit of apostasy will ignore the living prophets and seek revelation from the familiar spirits of the dead.
