Isaiah’s call to serve is recorded along with further instructions he received. Note the question, “Who will go for us?” It is the work of the Father and the Son (recall Genesis 1:26). Isaiah volunteered for missionary service, echoing Jehovah’s response to the Father in the Grand Council in Heaven. Young men, women, and couples by the tens of thousands these days repeat the same sentiment when accepting mission calls: “Here am I; send me.”
