“And the House Was Filled with Smoke”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

“Smoke” in Hebrew is smoke or cloud (see Exodus 19:18, where Mount Sinai was “on a smoke”; 1 Kings 8:10–11). The glory of the Lord filled his house, just as his glory fills the earth. The Lord has said that his work and glory is seeing his creations become immortal and eternal (Moses 1:39), so the earth and at least some of the Father’s children will bring him additional glory.
