Lift Up an Ensign; None Shall Slumber nor Sleep; They Shall Roar Like Young Lions

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The Lord will raise an ensign to the nations in the latter days and many people will flow unto it to be fed spiritual truth (compare Isaiah 11:10, 12; 18:3; Zechariah 9:16; 2 Nephi 21:10, 12; D&C 64:42; 105:39). We are participating in that process today. The ensign is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness, with blessings of salvation for all mankind and exaltation for the faithful and elect. The work goes on inexorably, without interruption, as the Prophet Joseph Smith confirmed from the squalor of Liberty Jail. “How long can rolling waters remain impure? What power shall stay the heavens? As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to stop the Missouri river in its decreed course, or to turn it up stream, as to hinder the Almighty from pouring down knowledge from heaven upon the heads of the Latter-day Saints” (D&C 121:33).
