Literature: After the implicit reversal of verse 20 (the speaker says the right thing but means it as mockery), Isaiah now lists specific inverted views of such people. They also call evil good, darkness light, and bitter sweet. They have a reversed view of the world that is the exact opposite of understanding Yahweh and his ways. Thus, Isaiah continues to condemn Israel for turning to man rather than Yahweh. Israel has accepted false values, the opposite of what Yahweh wanted of and for it.
