“In That Day Shall the Branch of the Lord Be Beautiful and Glorious”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

The branch of the Lord and the fruit of the earth symbolize the Messiah himself and people who live under his rule during the millennial era. His people, the remnant of Israel, are a holy people living in a holy city in a holy land—all of which means, in the Hebrew expression, that they will be a people of holiness living in a city of holiness in a land of holiness, with the Holy One of Israel reigning among them. Those who remain to live into this glorious era are the elect, those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. 39
