It is in this first chapter of Isaiah in the brass plates that we get Isaiah's long-range perspective extending over 2,700 years. Of course, the Bible version of Isaiah has an earlier chapter, or a chapter 1 that is a lamentation by Isaiah and many authorities believe it should have appeared toward the end of his book rather than at the beginning. In any event we can see that the first chapter of Isaiah in the plates of brass is chapter 2 of the King James Version. This chapter is about the history of Judah and Jerusalem. Nevertheless, Isaiah begins at the end of the story when Christ's millennial reign is just beginning. Here is what he says:
Notice in verse 3 Isaiah is talking about a great future day; a future day when Christ has triumphed over the earth; a time when God's law will be going forth from Zion and the word of the Lord shall be going forth from Jerusalem. Therefore he is talking about the future day when the Lord's house shall be established in the tops of the mountains where the new Zion will be established in western America, and all nations shall send their people to the temple to be taught. Meanwhile the battle of Armageddon will be over and the Jews will have joined with Christ in sending the word of the Lord from Old Jerusalem
