Prophets of God are witnesses of the reality and mission of the Savior. They confirm for us the truthfulness of His gospel and of divine principles. Nephi has deep admiration and respect for the words of Isaiah, who ministered a scant century and a half before him. Both have seen God and convey to their listeners and readers the glorious message of redemption and reconciliation—plus a compelling warning for mortals to relinquish worldly pursuits and come unto Christ.
