Jacob invokes a priestly blessing upon his listeners (and his modern readers) regarding the power of the Atonement. It is only in and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we have hope of being reconciled to God and gathered into the fold of the Lord to complete our preparations for returning to our heavenly home.
