Cheer Up Your Hearts; Reconcile Yourselves to the Will of God; Through the Grace of God

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Jacob’s tenor is one of cheer and rejoicing in the opportunity we have to align ourselves with the principles of heaven and enjoy the blessings of grace. The counsel of Jacob applies to us as well as to his listeners in ancient America. We are to reconcile ourselves to the will of God and remember that we are saved through His grace. Therefore, let us seek the will of God in all things and act on the words of Nephi: “For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do” (2 Nephi 25:23).
