“Ye Are Free to Act for Yourselves”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Jacob concluded his remarks with the reminder that all men are free to choose whether they will reconcile themselves with God. All must choose between the will of God and that of the devil, between the things of the Spirit and the things of the flesh, he announced. “After” a reconciliation of their will with that of God's, Jacob reminded them, there still could be no salvation save it were for the “grace of God,” in whom is found the “power of the resurrection” through the Atonement.
