“I Will Praise the Holy Name of My God”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

The faithful among the Lord’s people—those above all who know whence their blessings come—should rejoice in the Lord and praise his name endlessly for his goodness and grace. Cries of hosannah should ascend from the lips of the Saints continually unto the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

The knowledge that there is a God in heaven who is infinitely concerned with his children; that there is a literal Savior who has bought us with his blood; that prophets and Apostles again walk the earth—the knowledge of these mighty verities should cause a welling up of eternal gratitude within the souls of all who can or ought to be called Latter day Saints. Ours should be a ceaseless praise to him who dwells on high.
