“I… Am Rid of Your Blood”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Leaders in the Church who permit sin and iniquity to go unchecked—for whatever reason, be it timidity or misplaced compassion—and who allow supposed mercy to rob justice will bear the burdens of those sins themselves (see Ezekiel 3:17-21). Jacob stated that he was “rid of their blood,”meaning he had valiantly raised the warning voice and was innocent of their sins and free from their iniquities (see Alma 5:22).
