The inspired prophet Jacob maintains that the "keeper of the gate" of heaven is "the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there." (2 Nephi 9:41.) The "Holy One of Israel" is Jesus Christ; thus the tradition in Christianity that Peter is the keeper of the gate of heaven is apparently false and without scriptural foundation.
