“Remain in Their Sins”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The sinner takes his disposition and nature with him into the world of spirits. All men take the work of their lives with them through the veil of death (see D&C 59:2; Revelation 14:13). Thus the wicked remain in their sins at the time of death. Their nature will, in course of time, be changed through repentance, which they must suffer. Even those who come forth to the telestial resurrection will be clean from their sins. (See commentary on Alma 40:11-14.)
