Jacob wanted his people to know how ingenious and wonderful the plan of salvation is for all mankind. Without it there would be no hope. Our bodies would die and our spirits would be left to wander aimlessly in eternity and eventually fall under the influence of Satan because there would be nowhere else to go. But of course Satan offers no hope. His ambition is to make us miserable like himself. His principal goal is to destroy all life by setting up secret combinations that will wipe out millions of lives.
