“Who Transformeth Himself Nigh Unto an Angel of Light”
Satan is the master of deception and will utilize any guise necessary to accomplish his purposes. He will appear as “an angel of light,” that is, an angel of God (see 2 Corinthians 11:14; Alma 30:53). Those who walk by the light of the Spirit and rely upon the power of the Lord are able to discern and to distinguish between the God of glory and the “god of this world.” (See Moses 1; 2 Corinthians 4:4.)
