There must needs be an infinite Atonement to overcome the Fall and bring about the Resurrection in fulfillment of the merciful plan of redemption. Through the Atonement we are liberated from the bands of death: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22).
