“Thy Sons Have Fainted Save These Two”

W. Cleon Skousen

Now Isaiah focuses on Jerusalem during the great battle of Armageddon which is still in the future. After three-and-half- years of siege the Lord will say that for all her sins Jerusalem has drunk the dregs of trembling. Her leaders have all fallen except the two who have the power to call down fire from heaven. These are the two prophets that will be associated with David, who is the rebuilder of Jerusalem. Even though these two prophets will be eventually killed, they will rise from the street as resurrected beings when the Savior comes to rescue his people.
