Yahweh now instructs the righteous to look to “my salvation… and my righteousness.” Those around Israel might think that the physical heavens and earth will endure forever, but the Lord warns that they will “vanish away like smoke.” The world will come to an end, but Yahweh’s salvation is truly forever. Even when the mountains are no more, the gospel will remain.
