“Let Us Stand Together”

K. Douglas Bassett

(Isa. 50:8)

In an ancient Middle Eastern civil court, the two opponents stood together to hear the judge’s decision. In a criminal court, the accuser made the charge personally to the defendant. Here, the servant is persecuted from all sides, but “the Lord is near, and he justifieth me.”
