An Empty House

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

And so, the Lord says, when I came home, there was no man to take care of my carriage and animals; when I called, there was no one to answer.

The Lord now reminds Israel of his omnipotence, as a warning of what they may expect as a consequence of their desertion to a strange master.
