“Covenant People of the Lord”
Jacob makes three important points in 2 Nephi 6:12–13He explains what conditions must be met in order for the Gentiles to be saved by the Lord. Jacob explains the cause for which Isaiah wrote, and then points out the end result coming to those who oppose and fight against “the covenant people of the Lord” (v. 13). Obviously the phrase “lick up the dust of their feet” (v. 13) is a figurative expression.
