Prosper; Raise Flocks; Brought the Records; Multiply; Many Swords; Build Buildings

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Nephi is the prototype of the enlightened leader who leads his people toward prosperity and productivity. Industry, learning, self-sufficiency, family growth, defense, community expansion, construction—all of these actions promote prosperity and well-being for a people. At the heart of this philosophy is the written word of God, which Nephi has brought with him and applied on behalf of his people. How can we better apply the example of Nephi for the security and happiness of our own families and communities? How can we better combine practical learning, spirituality, and leadership to bless our children and the coming generations?
