Notice that this seer of the latter days would unite the writings of the tribe of Joseph -- which turned out to be the Book of Mormon -- with the writings of the Jews -- which turned out to be the Bible -- so that each one of these books would confirm the validity of the other. These combined scriptures would put down false doctrine and teach the tribe of Joseph concerning their forefathers.
