Lehi was also shown that in the latter days the Lord would raise up a choice prophet who would be esteemed highly by Lehi's descendants. In fact the latter-day seer would do a great work for Lehi's descendants and bring them to a knowledge of God's covenants with their fathers. This of course turned out to be the Prophet Joseph Smith.
