Not only is salvation free, but sufficient knowledge has been imparted to all men in all ages, to enable them to do that which brings salvation and to shun the opposite. "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." (Luke 12:48) It follows, that to him whom little is given, little will be required. See notes under verse 14.
